Description

Allin attempted to take the approach of mediator on many issues. In a 1977 address to the Diocese of New Jersey, Allin stated, “I am not Pope; my job is to preside.” It was this perspective on his role as Presiding Bishop in church governance that informed his attempts to facilitate communication and foster reconciliation within the Church.
